Abstract : Some interesting nitrogen heterocycles, as well as other products, were synthesized by reactions of 2-cyano-N′-[(1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylidene]acetohydrazide with phenyl isothiocyanate/elemental sulfur, 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, 4-hydroxy-1,1′-biphenyl-3-carbaldehyde, 2-oxoquinoline-3-caraldehyde, triethyl orthoformate, ethyl cyanoacetate, and thiosemicarbazide. The structures of all isolated compounds were established from their analytical and spectral data.
