Lithologic Reservoirs ,started in 1989, is a non-profit academic journal jointly sponsored by Northwest Geological Research Institute Company of CNPC and Gansu Petroleum Society. From 1989 to 2006, the journal was titled Northwest Oil & Gas Exploration ,which was an internal publication. In 2006, with the approval of the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People's Republic of China, the journal was renamed Lithologic Reservoirs and approved to be issued at domestic and overseas.
