Abstract : Actually, there is a biological basis for procrastination. It is the end outcome of an ongoing struggle between the prefrontal cortex and the limbic system in our brains. A part of the brain that is among the oldest and most prominent is the limbic system, sometimes referred to as the paleomammalian brain. Many of its functions are automated. The primary worry of the authors in this study was that academic procrastination led students to put off their efforts to complete any academic work at all. Eighty-seven percent of procrastination symptoms were related to classroom pressure. Parental pressure, according to 47% of respondents, is a secondary sign of procrastination that is linked to social anxiety, physiological appraisal, and conflict.
